Working Cocker Spaniels

We are very lucky here at Alkemist to have a Working Cocker Spaniel as part of our family, Isla, or Woldtop Islay (soon to be Woldtop Islay at Alkemist). She is currently 18 months old and as her breeder said ''Working Cockers are like little people''. He forgot to mention that the little people had red noses and clownsuits on...... Joking aside we were very very lucky to find Isla and thanks for that go to the owners of her Sire. She is an immensely intelligent little dog with a heart of gold and a nose that never stops.

Ninas grandfather worked Springers on the farms for a living. They cleared the fields of rabbits before myxy came along, and Nina has always had a passion for the working type spaniel. Unfortunately the working opportunities in the area that we live are few and far between, but that does not mean that we cannot still love the working spaniels. There will always be a space in our hearts for both Springers and more recently, Cockers.
