Jensen was pick male from our only litter so far. He was an outstanding example of an English type Weimaraner with a great build and fantastic drive on the move. He qualified for Crufts at his first show as a puppy. He then went on to win a best puppy in breed and qualified for Crufts as a puppy 4 times in 4 shows. His littermates that were shown also all qualified for Crufts at their first shows (so 4 from his litter achieved this). Unfortunately Jensen at 8 weeks had a small wound on his thigh, which eventually was diagnosed 6 months later to be a Mast Cell Tumour. He then underwent surgery, and we very nearly lost him as his wound site wouldn't heal. He was badly affected by the histamine produced by the Mast Cell Tumour, which to the end caused him many health problems, as the tumour was unable to be effectively removed due to poor edges and skin restrictions.

Jensen missed Crufts, but recovered significantly enough to compete at another Crufts, where under Patsy Hollings he went third in his class. Unfortunately his mum and dad had entered him into a class which was not a Crufts qulaifying class for the next year, so his third place, which should have qualified him for the next year, didn't. The challenge was set and we took Jensen  to some more shows to see if he could qualify again (and also to get practice in for Anya). By this time Jensen was 4. He continued to be placed at each show he was entered in! He qualified for Crufts again and again. We took Jensen to his last show at Crufts 2005, where he was unplaced in his class.

We are sure that had Jensen been a healthy dog, and had his show career been as promising as it was at the start, he would have his stud book number and possibly tickets, who knows. His line is no longer continued, and his illness gave us the reason to go looking for fresh blood, so something positive came from all of this afterall.

Sadly Jensens cancer became an issue again as he was in his 8th year of life, and having lived through this with him before, the decision had already been made to spare Jensen any further suffering. He was put to sleep early 2008 after his cancer returned, and made his life unliveable. We believe he is now happy and healthy at Rainbow Bridge with his Mum and Uncles Shadow and JR.
